I was mostly unavailable during July, so I did very few social media posts, or any updates to the site at all.
It was a struggle to find the motivation to be engaged when I am seeing such little interest. But I am soldiering on with the concept because I really believe in some of the designs I have created.
I want to see them out in the world. I really just need to be making a small consistent profit so I can start having them produced locally, therefore cheaper. I do have an income again, so I could potentially utilise some of that to kick start the changeover.
I had one sale in July from a friend so my profit for the month is -$82.07 because I am still paying for both Canva and Shopify. So my total profit for the endeavour is now sitting at -$202.28. Gross sales is $853.68 which is very awesome and sounds like a lot of money - but when you take out expenses it is a lot less, my expenses are $1055.96.
So, I quite enjoy payout days as I feel like i get some money back for the small amount of mark up I have, but overall, I know I am still leaking money because Print on Demand in Australia isn't really viable as a business model. Not enough companies here actually do PoD, which means you have to order from suppliers in US/UK/Asia and they charge ridiculous prices for postage.
I also want to ensure I make sales overseas as well as this will help, but I need people to find me and even just see my website.
